Right, the three items I auctioned off last week have been sent on their way after raising almost £200 in total so really pleased with that. There will be lots more items auctioned off this week too as I have a lot to get through!

In training news, managed to tick off 53 miles last week – more than the distance of the shortest day on the ride – and was pretty pleased with my efforts even though I didn’t take on any big climbs. Picked up a puncture 10 miles from home though and as it was rush hour so I couldn’t use a train I carried on regardless. It was a bit sketchy but the bike seems to have come through it with only a new tyre needed.

Once I get that sorted it’s time to really get climbing around Box Hill and I’ll need to get some consecutive days on the bike in to work on recovery – six in a row is going to really hurt come September.
