After another quiet spell (life really does just get in the way of training and fundraising) it’s time for another big push. So fresh from passing the £1000 mark as required by June 1 the final target of £3250 is the aim now!

In training news, it hasn’t gone so well recently. Took the bike back to Somerset to tackle a climb near home that was half the biggest climb of day one of the ride, but a dodgy rear brake (it’s seized on one side) made it pretty tough going! As a complete novice I haven’t yet fully fixed it so there have been no big rides for a while. Fitness feels quite good but I definitely need to improve my climbing capacity. And the confirmation of the flights for the ride have made everything a little bit more real…
